Image
Back in 2020, Morclean started work on a vehicle wash project in Denbighshire. Fast forward to just this past week, and the Morclean team completed Phase 2 of this huge installation.  See the original post when Morclean started this project here: https://morclean.blogspot.com/2020/10/looking-to-future-in-north-east-wales.html We have worked closely with our client on this mega 4 year project, including phased targets to keep us all on track! Some projects are more lengthy than others, and we can adjust timelines to suit our clients. This phase of the installation included the gantry and screen, shown in the photos below. The beginnings of the project four years ago included a whole host of works, including below ground interceptors, silt traps and water management tanks.  We are committed to providing excellent customer service, and are happy to take on these long term projects for clients who require these major works.  If you would like to discuss any ideas you have for upcoming proj

An Eco Friendly Approach to Weeding!

Morclean are developing equipment to tackle the problem of weeds using JUST hot water.  Killing and Controlling Weeds using JUST Hot Water Weeds are a common problem in gardens and outdoor spaces. Many of the chemical solutions and weed killers actually come with health and environmental risks. This is something that the government is well aware of - in fact the quote below from nfuonline.com  is in reference to using a chemical found in most weed killers: On the NFU (National Farmer's Union) Website -  "Glyphosate is currently authorised for use in the EU until 15 December 2023,  following an extension to the renewal assessment process in 2022.  In the UK, the current expiry date is December 2025, following a three-year extension as the UK’s post-Brexit pesticides regulatory regime is developed." Hot Water Weed Control - How Does it Work? Weeds can adapt to various and challenging conditions, making them very difficult to eliminate. However Morclean have developed powerf

The Annual 9th Slow Rally was a success!

Slow Rally 2023 The famous Slow Rally saw the streets of Guastalla this past October and it was once again a huge success!  Guastalla is a small town in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy with just 7,500 inhabitants. Our friend, Gino Tosi, has been organising this Slow Rally here for 9 years now, and every year it just gets better! Morclean are proud to support and be part of this incredible event.  The Slow Race is the race where you want to come LAST. That's right, it's as slow as you can go all the way round the track! Competitors gain sponsors and raise money to support the cause.  All the money raised by Morclean is split 50-50 between Fairplay in Chesterfield and   Anffas  Trentino   in Italy. Both charities offer support and activities for people with disabilities and their families.  Peter Morley, who always goes out to support and take part in the Slow Rally said: " I have seen first hand the people that we directly help when money is raised for these tw

Inventing the impossible with Morclean's IBC Vac

Today's post is all about Arvin Meretor, who are a Midlands based clutch and brake manufacturer.  Arvin Meretor had a bit of a problem they had been facing in their manufacturing process. It concerned a product that is contained within vessels that needed to be emptied of liquid in some way. All ways were considered - discharging, pumping, taken away somehow? The most practical solution would be to use a vacuum cleaner to remove the liquid, but the amount in the tanks added up to ONE THOUSAND litres. A LOT of liquid. So, all that Arvin Meretor needed was a 1000 litre vacuum, right? Get in touch with Morclean. Problem solved.  However, Morclean were quite confident that this vacuum did not exist. There was no machine any where near that size on the marketplace.  In order to recover this amount of water in this way, a couple of problems presented themselves. 1. A  vacuum unit on a standard 240 or 415 volts supply, cannot convey the air across such a large capacity container of 1000 l
