In 2017 Morclean will be making a welcome visit to the Rail Ale festival due to take place at Barrow Hill Roundhouse, 18th-20th May 2017. The Rail Ale Festival will boast over 300 real ales, ciders, perrys, craft and world beers. This weekend was the Matlock Christmas Market in which we helped out and offered our support. Matlock kicked off the festivities in style and put on a market of gargantuan proportions full with Christmas activities and over 100 market stalls. Morclean were happy to lend a hand at yet another great community event and get involved in the festivities. The market boasted free entry and an array of activities including: Reindeer Santa's Grotto Traditional Christmas Cuisine Huge Fairground Craft Stalls Pony Sleigh Rides Christingle Service

Product Development Here at Morclean we are always adding and improving to the range of stock we offer to our customers- and 2017 will be no exception. At the beginning of next year we will be releasing a new Silt Trap range which will be aimed at smaller car wash operations or busy car wash and valeting sites. The new range will bring a host of new advantages including D400 gratings and a wider variety of sizes. The main advantage will be their strength and the ability to install them in a granular surround instead of concrete. This will save money when it's come to civil costs. We've standardised the production of this range to avoid building to order and so that we can keep more stock and easily supply on demand. On the 2nd-4th of December we helped out at the Matlock Victorian Christmas weekend- a Christmas fair that takes place at the Hall Leys park in Matlock. This year marked the 23rd year the market took place and boasted around 200 stall in 2 marquees across the park. Entertainment was provided throughout the three days with a mix of old favourites and new surprises for 2016- a great event for all of the family. Smooth FM were in the main marquee providing entertainment and offering the chance for one lucky attendee to win a hamper from Marks and Spencer The weekend's highlights included Santa's Grotto, a Christmas parade and a celebrity light switch-on. The town was bustling and a total of 25,000 people attended over the 3 days. Local radio station Smooth FM also attended and played music at the event. 2016 has been a monster of a year here at Morclean with new changes happening left, right and centre.  We’ve seen many developments both to the internal team and the vast product range we offer and have even picked up a few awards on the way. We’ve met new faces at shows around the continent, and also have made sure we’ve stayed grounded and done our part for local businesses and lent a hand at community events. Custom Plus Bin Wash machine latest delivery In the latest Bin Wash machine news our Custom Plus model is on it's way to Dundalk, County Louth. Collected this afternoon the machine was loaded on to a lorry ready for it's journey across the sea to it's new home in Ireland. From the company's initial enquiry we managed to do a turnaround of 2 weeks for production and then an additional 3 weeks for the machine to be collected with the customer's chosen courier. We regularly send our Bin Wash machines across the world and pride ourselves on offering a fast turnaround. About the Green Apple Awards We were proud to travel down to the Houses of Parliament on Friday 11th November to receive our two awards at the Green Apple Awards. The Green Apple Awards is the national campaign to find Britain’s greenest companies, councils and communities .At the Houses of Parliament companies far and wide were presented with their awards and certificates at a glittering presentation ceremony which took part by the beautiful panoramic view of the River Thames. Last week we were confronted by a Whiskey distillery in Scotland that needed a vacuum capable of picking up droplets of liquid. Baring in mind that the liquid in question is quite a high percentage of alcohol, we used our expertise to recommend the Wet/Dry Air Vac. Operating on air and suitable for sucking up water quickly and effectively, the Air Vac fulfills the Distillery's need and they placed an initial order of three. A week later they have placed another order with us- obviously an impressed customer! 

Morclean Interceptor Heads to Cider Factory Morclean were confronted by a Cider Factory in Hereford with the vision of installing equipment to help their drainage systems, in particular a system which would collect an excessive amount of waste water should a major leak occur. During normal operations the daily amount of waste water from the cider process is relatively small, comprising of excess water from washing down storage vats and equipment. Although a major leak had never occurred, they wanted to make a provision in their design for handling such an occurrence. To limit the outflow and control the spillage we suggested installing an interceptor tank with pumps and a control panel.
